The Chalet Marmotte is a typical mountain hut, at 1800m s.l.m., family-run. On the Italian-French border (see map) 12 km away from Limone Piemonte, it is the ideal place to enjoy having the mountain tranquility and is also a convenient starting point for any kind of walk.




For more allenanti the Abyss Fortress it is a must-path, while for the less energetic the Central Fort and the five minor fortifications (see map) are very easy to reach. From the chalet you can take the famous 'Via del Sale' to Monesi and numerous other mountain roads with a mountain bike, quad bike and towards Italy and France.

Our cabin is easily accessible in summer via the road that goes from level 1400 (Limone Piemonte) which is fully paved, while in winter you can reach via chairlift Colle di Tenda (from Quota 1400)

After a long hike or a great ski trip there we offer a wide selection of dishes; polenta with sausage, deer the polenta with creamed leeks and bacon, with raschera nuts and bacon ... .. and even appetizers, abundant first and second and, finally, delicious homemade desserts.
The Chalet Marmotte is the ideal place to spend a quiet day in the mountains, relaxing on our rooftop terrace and savoring tasty dishes, in summer, observing the rich flora and fauna of the area, will not be missing, of course marmots.
